Every Surface comes with a minimum of 1 year Microsoft Hardware Limited Warranty including mechanical breakdown, and technical support (90 days software support, 1 year hardware support). Microsoft Extended Hardware Services (EHS) Plans go beyond your Surface hardware warranty by:
Protecting: Safeguard your Surface Investment by leveraging warranty and protection plans that include coverage for Mechanical breakdown, protecting your devices against unintended mechanical failure.
Secure: Retain more control over your security. Some Surface devices have removal SSD drives, allowing you to retain your data and reduce the exposure of business information during service events.
Respond: Get your device back up and running using Advanced Exchange where a replacement device is shipped to your premise before you return the defective device. With Next Business Day service available.
Support: Support how and when you need it. Access the Global Customer Support Services via online portal, phone and Surface Diagnostic Toolkit for Business.
Extended Hardware Services Plus (EHS+) is available as an add on to the range of Surface devices and can be purchased up to 45 days from the original device purchase.
Benefits:
- Advanced Exchange: The replacement device is shipped to your customer before you return the defective device, meaning you won’t be without a device!
- Mechanical breakdown covers your device against unintended mechanical failure extending from the original manufacturer’s warranty and will continue for the entirety of the EHS warranty term.
- Next Business Day Replacement available with the cut off time 2.00pm NZST in most major regions.
- Drive (SSD) Retention is available on certain devices, allowing your customer to physically remove and retain the data drive before it is returned to Microsoft.
