We are waiting on additional information to fill in the gaps so the below is open to changes as MS might change some things and I’m still hunting down a comparison chart for the Teams licenses themselves.

What are the Teams Standalone Licenses?

 

Here are the standalone options for Teams.

Teams Essentials - $6.50 per month annual commit RRP

Teams Enterprise - $8.50 per month annual commit RRP

Teams Premium - $11.30 per month annual commit RRP (Add on license)

  

What are the new license options for bundled Suite licensing without Teams?

  • Microsoft 365 E3/E5 (No Teams)

  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium (No Teams)

  • Microsoft Business Standard (No Teams)

  • Microsoft Business Basic (No Teams)

  • Microsoft 365 F1/F3 (No Teams)

  • Office 365 E1/E3/E5 (No Teams)

  • Office 365 F3 (No Teams)

 

Will I be able to order my existing bundles?

 

Enterprise Suites will not be available with Teams (now Teams Premium), Microsoft 365 E3/E5, Microsoft 365 F1/F3, Office 365 E1/E3/E5 and Office 365 F3 will no longer be available with Microsoft Teams from now. 

 

Any existing Enterprise Suite licenses already in place, can continue to renew, upgrade, or increase quantities, but there will be no net new options.  If you are adding these licenses to a tenant net new, you will need to add the new Teams Premium standalone license if Teams is required.

 

Microsoft 365 Basic, Standard and Premium will have suites available with or without Teams (now Teams Premium) going forward so both license options will be available for these Suites.

Teams Premium requires a pre-existing Teams Essential or Teams Enterprise license, standalone or in a suite, to add this license.
