Who can access the Teams Meeting recap created by Copilot?
Internal attendees (from the Microsoft tenant hosting the meeting) invited to the meeting who have a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license can access the Teams meeting recap. External/guest attendees cannot access the recap.
Internal attendees with a Teams Premium license can also access the recap, but they do not get the Copilot chat during or after the meeting.
What is the difference between Teams Premium and Copilot for Microsoft 365?
Teams Premium is a subscription plan that offers advanced features and capabilities for Microsoft Teams, such as meeting recordings, live events, phone system, audio conferencing, and more. Copilot for Microsoft 365 is an AI assistant that enhances Teams meetings by providing real-time transcription, summarization, action items, and follow-up reminders. Copilot for Microsoft 365 is not a standalone product, but an add-on feature that requires a Teams Premium license to function. Therefore, you need both Teams Premium and Copilot for Microsoft 365 licenses to get the full benefits of Copilot in your Teams meetings.
Can Copilot for M365 access data in third party systems/applications?
Out of the box Copilot for Microsoft 365 can only access data in Microsoft Graph – e.g. only files stored in OneDrive and SharePoint.
You can use Microsoft Graph connectors to enable Copilot to access information in 3rd-party services.

There isn’t currently a way to set Copilot to use NZ English at a user or tenant level. If you want Copilot to generate content/responses in NZ English, include that in your prompt.

Copilot scenarios in Outlook cannot access encrypted emails. Support is coming soon for Microsoft 365 Message Encryption emails for which the ExtractAllowed property is set to true. Other encryption methods like S/MIME or Double Key Encryption will not be supported by Copilot scenarios.

Copilot in Outlook features (Summarize with Copilot, Draft with Copilot, and Coaching by Copilot) can only be used on the user’s primary mailbox. You cannot use these features on shared mailboxes, delegate mailboxes, group mailboxes, or archive mailboxes.

Coaching by Copilot only works on message drafts with at least 100 characters

Copilot may not be able to summarise older messages on long email threads. If this happens the user will get an error/warning messages saying the summary doesn’t include the full thread. This also applies to the Draft with Copilot feature, the drafted response may not represent the entire thread if it's very long.

Can my Copilot chats be deleted?
You can delete your Copilot for Microsoft 365 interaction history from the My Account portal by going to Settings & Privacy > Privacy > Data options and open the Copilot interaction history section and selecting delete history, then select the Copilot for Microsoft 365 checkbox and select Delete.

Copilot in Teams offers the ability to use intelligent speakers in Teams room devices, These speakers can identify and differentiate the voices of up to 10 people in a meeting, and associate them with their names and profiles. This way, Copilot can create a more accurate and personalised transcript of the meeting, as well as capture the speaker attribution and emotion. The intelligent speakers also work seamlessly with the Teams meeting feature, allowing participants to join, leave, mute, or unmute the meeting with voice commands. Copilot can also provide live captions, summaries, and action items for the meeting, as well as follow-up tasks and reminders.
