In December Microsoft introduced the OneDrive app in Teams,
If you are anything like me, you spend a lot of time in Microsoft Teams!
The new OneDrive app in Teams allows you to access and share your files from OneDrive directly within Teams. This app makes it easier to collaborate, manage your documents, and stay productive.
With the OneDrive app in Teams, you can:
- Browse and search your OneDrive files and folders.
- Open and edit your Office files in Teams or in the desktop or web apps.
- Share your files with your team members or external guests.
- Create new files or folders and upload files from your device.
- Sync your files to your devices for offline access.
- Manage your files with actions like rename, move, copy, delete, or restore.
Like the traditional OneDrive, To use the OneDrive app in Teams, you need to have a Microsoft 365 subscription and a OneDrive account. You can find the app in the left sidebar of Teams, under the Files tab. You can also pin the app to your app bar for quick access.
You are also able to change the folder colour for ease of grouping, I find this makes it easier to find files quickly,
The OneDrive app in Teams is a convenient and secure way to work with your files in the cloud while utilizing the Teams application.
