CLIPPY IS BACK! ………..Well, sort of

We all know that AI Integration is happening at speed (It’s even included in Snap Chat now…)

One of the Key themes at the recent Microsoft build was AI and how it will integrate into

everyday work. With the announcement of Windows 11 Copilot, Microsoft gave a view into how much easier AI assis

tants will make our day to day work.

For example, instead of remembering how to change a setting you will simply be able ask Copilot to change the required setting. For example, ‘adjust the brightness setting to 60%’ or ‘Enable focus mode’.

Copilot is web-based, but it’s deeply integrated into the operating system and can tell what apps you’re using. If you’re in Outlook or Word, you can open Windows Copilot to help you write the email or summarize the essay that you’re writing.

Copilot is built into the taskbar, making it simple and easy to find and use. Once open, it stays on the side bar side across your windows, ready to act as your personal assistant.

The idea behind the ease of use is to make every user, a power user, hopefully rather than bothering IT to change a simple setting the user will ask Copilot first.

So, we are still a long way from the rise of the machines, but the next 12 months look incredible with the integration of AI into our day to day tasks, both at work and at home.

Windows Copilot will start to become available in preview for Windows 11 in June, stay tuned and sign up here to get updates from Microsoft.
