Automatically Schedule Focus Time with Viva Insights

Did you know you can use Viva insights to automatically schedule a block of focus time in your calendar each week?

This is a great feature to block in training or uninterrupted focus time, Viva Insights allows you to set up a Focus Plan for your top priority work. It even reminds you to take regular scheduled breaks during the week.

  • You can select how much focus time you would like to schedule every day.

  • You can silence or allow chat notifications from Microsoft Teams during focus time.

  • You can create, configure, or end your focus plan at any time.

To Get started with this find Viva Insights in Teams under the apps, then navigate to Protect Time on the landing page.

 

Locate the Focus plan card. And Select Get Started

Send Praise to your Team Members

Share the Love around! Use Viva insights to show appreciation to your Team Mates either in a personal chat message or companywide channel. Viva will even remind you to send praise on a regular basis.

 

Schedule Send Suggestions and Quiet Time

A lot of us are working varying hours, with schedule send suggestions in Viva Insights, you can help minimize email disruptions to your colleagues outside their working hours or when they are away from work.

From Within Outlook:

 

After you select Schedule send, an insight opens to the right of your message confirming that date and time.

 

If you've scheduled your message, it's kept in one of two places after you press Send—the Drafts folder if you use Outlook on the web or the Sent items folder if you use Outlook for Windows—until the scheduled delivery time.

 

Quiet Time

With research showing that long hours and the pressure to always be available can lead to employee burnout. Viva Insights allows you protect quiet time by disabling notifications in Outlook and Teams during set hours.

This feature is found In the Quiet time section on the Protect time page.

 

With the addition of Viva Insights premium licenses, you are also able to add in additional focus plans. You can configure these plans to match your needs by setting a target amount of blocked time, and you can also personalize your booking preferences.
