Microsoft Designer can generate images and designs using AI to assist you in creating unique content.

The first part of Microsoft Designer is a tool for creating all types of graphics, from logos and invitations to blog banners and social media posts.

Setting Microsoft Designer apart from other media creation tools is the inclusion of DALL-E 2 by OpenAI. of DALL-E 2 is a type of artificial intelligence that allows you to create images by entering a text description of what is required.

Getting Started

When logged in the first page visible is the Designer Co-Pilot, from here you create your first visual using an AI-generated image or your own image. Simply Type in your desired idea and a few options will be generated.

Use an AI-Generated Image

This is the fun part, type in the image you want created and the will AI generate the image. This image can be incorporated into your Design document.

Text can be edited and fine-tuned for publishing either by you or with the assistance on the AI Co Pilot. The image can even post straight to Social media with appropriate hashtags to generate interest.

Microsoft Designer will be available as a free app for Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers with optional premium paid features. Microsoft also plans to integrate Designer with Microsoft Edge. The idea is to provide Edge users assistance in designing social media posts and other items on sites they visit in the browser.
