This month I am truly excited to announce the addition of the Microsoft Surface Hub 2S to the Dicker Data Surface catalogue!
The Surface Hub 2S is a premium interactive video conferencing device, it is the perfect tool for creative collaboration and communication. It has been designed to help you get the most out of your Teams meetings, brainstorming sessions, and presentations, while being simple and intuitive to use.
This is something we have been working to get in place for a while and the timing is great, Microsoft have just announced a few days ago that the Surface Hub 2S will soon be the first touch enabled board to run the Teams Rooms on Windows OS, a change from the existing Windows 10 Teams OS used currently, which will fully integrate the device into the Teams Rooms family.
This reaffirms Microsoft’s commitment to keep the Hub 2S updated as a current generation device, building on the 4k screens and cameras, as well as the ability to replace and upgrade the compute module being part of the devices design (Upgraded compute modules are predicted to be available this year).
Not in a rush to upgrade to the new OS? Not a worry, Microsoft are going to keep updating the existing OS through till at least October 2025. This leaves lots of time to make sure the change is right for you and/or your clients.
With the changeover to Teams Rooms on Windows there will be several additional features coming that will take the Surface Hub from the fantastic collaborative device that it is, into something even better. This includes the addition of Front Row, “one touch join” for Webex and Zoom meetings, improved management through Microsoft Teams Admin Centre, as well as adding full Integration with third party Teams Rooms certified devices.
