Surface Hub 2S: Transitioning to Teams Rooms on Windows

  • Surface Hub will run full Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows
  • All new Surface Hubs ship with the Teams Rooms experience starting later this year
  • Full support for MTR-W peripherals
  • First touch-enabled board running Teams Rooms on Windows
  • Surface Hub Windows Team edition going away
  • Surface Hub 2S, Microsoft will continue to support Windows Team edition until October 14, 2025.
  • The Teams Rooms experience will only be available to Surface Hub 2S devices, both 50” and 85” (not 1st gen)

 

Shared Device/Common Area Android Mobile Devices

  • Use the Shared Device Licence on Teams mobile app for Android
  • Enable a shared/common area android device with Walkie Talkie and Teams Phone
  • Call queues, auto attendants, cloud voicemail, call park and all other features currently supported for common area phones will be available through the Teams Android app
