Our Operations

As the size and scale of our operations continues to grow, we remain conscious of the environmental impact our business is having.

We bring a sustainability lens to all our decision-making and engrain sustainability at the core of our operations.

At Dicker Data, we actively bring a sustainability perspective into our decision-making processes, striving
to embed sustainability as a fundamental principle within our operational framework. Our commitment
to reducing the environmental impact of our operations continued in 2023, especially as our shipments
across ANZ grow each year. In 2023, we further reduced our reliance on new boxes for outbound
shipments and significantly cut down on single-use plastics, increasing our use of recycled materials. Our
e-waste programs ensured decommissioned technology avoided landfill, and we continued separating
bio waste at our Papatoetoe headquarters. To counter increased power consumption, we have installed
30 solar panels to power our New Zealand headquarters and top-up the grid.

Trees that Count

Trees that Count

Following the success of the ongoing donation collections for the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife, we’ve launched a similar initiative in New Zealand through a partnership with Trees That Count.

Backed by Project Crimson, Trees That Count has been championing native tree planting for over 20 years, helping to strengthen biodiversity and combat carbon emissions.

This local organisation is focused on restoring native forests and tackling climate change, and our new collaboration enables Kiwi partners to support meaningful environmental action by contributing to the planting of native trees across Aotearoa.

Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife

Launched in December 2020, Dicker Data’s partnership with the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife (FNPW) provides opportunities for our reseller partners to donate towards protecting the environment for the future and enabling land acquisition to grow the footprint of our National Parks.  We are proud to help the FNPW ensure Australia's wildlife and wilderness are conserved for future generations.

As well as planting 30,000 new trees at our Kurnell facility, and
an initial $10,000 donation to FNPW, Dicker Data also matches dollar-for-dollar the donations made by our partners each month.
