Dicker Data Agrees to Acquire Sektor Group to Spearhead Strategic South-East Asia Growth and Expand Specialist Technology Capabilities
AUSTRALIA, Sydney – 6 October 2026: Dicker Data (ASX: DDR) (Company), is pleased to announce it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100% of Sektor Group Ltd (Sektor).
Strategic Rationale for Acquisition
Sektor is a leading Asia-Pacific distributor in point-of-sale and enterprise mobility technologies, cybersecurity, physical security and specialised infrastructure solutions. Sektor has operations throughout Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Malaysia. Sektor was established in 2009 and employs approximately 230 people.
The acquisition represents an important strategic milestone for Dicker Data, establishing a direct operational presence in key South-East Asian markets, providing access to established operating businesses in both Thailand and Malaysia, including physical facilities and an experienced local team of approximately 60 employees across both countries. This provides Dicker Data with an immediate profitable operational footprint in South-East Asia and a
scalable platform from which to pursue geographic expansion across the broader Asia Pacific region, an ICT market estimated to be USD $647 billion*. In addition, the acquisition provides further expansion into cybersecurity and physical security, as well as access to a new and growing adjacent category of point-of-sale and enterprise mobility solutions through a range of new vendor and customer relationships. The size of the point-of-sale and Automatic
Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) market in ANZ alone is estimated at approximately AUD $1 billion.
The acquisition also provides significant synergy opportunities with access to Sektor’s established reseller ecosystem across these high-growth, high-margin technology categories. The acquisition presents an opportunity to introduce Dicker Data's broader vendor portfolio into new partner communities while simultaneously expanding Sektor's solutions across Dicker Data's network of more than 12,000 partners across Australia and New Zealand.
Acquisition Consideration and further details
Dicker Data will acquire 100% of the share capital of Sektor Group Ltd for a total consideration of NZD$138.0 million (~$AUD111.8 million1) on a cash free, debt free, normalised working capital basis. The acquisition will be funded via
an extension of Dicker Data’s existing debt facilities and is expected to be earnings accretive in the Company's FY26 year ending 31 December 2026, excluding one-off transaction and integration costs.
There are a number of standard conditions and regulatory approvals to be satisfied for completion however Dicker Data expects the transaction to complete by end of October 2026, providing two months contribution to the FY26 results ending 31 December 2026.
Based on the twelve months to 31 August 2026, Sektor delivered gross revenue of NZD$440 million and unaudited normalised pre-AASB16 Earnings Before Interest Tax Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) of NZD$22.7 million.
The Company is targeting annualised, post-integration pre-AASB16 EBITDA of approximately NZD$28-32 million (before one-off transaction and integration costs).
Commenting on the announcement, Executive Chair and Managing Director of Dicker Data Limited, Fiona Brown, said:
“The acquisition of Sektor is highly complementary to Dicker Data’s existing business and represents a logical extension of our long-term growth strategy. Sektor expands our reach into attractive adjacent categories including point-of-sale and enterprise mobility as well as further strengthening our physical security and cybersecurity offering. Importantly, Sektor also provides Dicker Data with an established operational footprint in Thailand and Malaysia, accelerating our regional expansion strategy. Overall, the acquisition expands our addressable market, diversifies our technology portfolio and creates meaningful opportunities to use Dicker Data’s scale, vendor relationships and partner ecosystem to drive long-term sustainable growth.
I would like to personally acknowledge and thank Rhys Warren, CEO of Sektor, Kenji Lim and the broader Sektor team for their leadership, dedication and contribution to building such a successful business. I look forward to working closely with them, building on the strong foundations they have established and supporting Sektor’s continued success and growth across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia.”
