Which Hypervisor are you using for vGRID IaaS?
We use VMware Cloud Foundation as the hypervisor and VMware Cloud Director as the multi-tenant management interface.
Which operating systems are supported in your environment?
Anything supported by VMware vSphere 8. This typically includes Windows Server OS back to 2008 R2, and all Linux distributions.
How are VM backups handled?
vGRID provide a fully managed service when selected and also offer self-service capabilities for end-users where required. Backups can be local as well as off-site for added protection.
What hardware do you use in your IaaS platform for compute?
What about storage?
Our performance tier uses HPE Alletra 9000 arrays, and our capacity tier uses HPE Alletra 5000 arrays.
What about security?
All vGRID IaaS customer environments are connected to the Internet via a dedicated Sophos XGS virtual firewall appliance.

Once you get started on your application, you'll need to have the following close by to help you complete the process quicker:
- Your driver’s license
- Your company’s registration information including NZBN
- Full information about your company Directors, including their mobile phone numbers
- Information about the markets your business services
- Trade references for us to contact to verify your business
- A witness to verify your signature
- If trading as Trustee company, you must put the Corporate Trustee Name and NZBN/NZCN and provide a copy of the “Record of Registration” for the Business Name
